Join our beginner class and learn the exciting sport of fencing.
Beginner Classes age 7 and up
In a beginner fencing class, you will learn the basic footwork, stance, and techniques of fencing. You will also learn how to properly hold and maneuver the fencing weapon, which is called a foil. In addition, you will be introduced to the rules and etiquette of fencing. As you progress, you will learn more advanced techniques and strategies to improve your skills and become a more competitive fencer.
Ages 7 and UP
FOIL Tuesday 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
FOIL Saturday 9:00 am to 10:30 am
Intermediate Foil Fencing Class 1.5 hour each class twice per week
Mondays 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Saturdays 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Must complete beginners classes first and have your own electric equipment
The Intermediate program is an ongoing program for fencers who wish to further improve their skills and are planning to compete. Fencers may typically enter the Intermediate program after 2-3 months in the Beginners/Fundamentals class (exceptions can be made at the coach’s discretion).
Intermediate-level students continue working on their fencing fundamentals while being introduced to more advanced skills, techniques and tactics of the modern game.
Adult Foil Fencing Class
Fridays 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
We offer adults of all skill levels the opportunity to experience the grace, precision, and excitement of this esteemed sport. Whether you’re a complete novice or have prior experience, our coach is dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment tailored to your individual needs. During this trial fencing class, you will delve into the fundamentals of fencing, mastering the art of wielding a foil. With an emphasis on technique, footwork, strategy, and reflexes, you will develop a solid foundation to enhance your skills and elevate your overall performance

Beginners

INTERMEDIATE
In an intermediate fencing class, you will build upon the foundation of skills and techniques learned in the beginner class. You will focus on refining your footwork, improving your speed and accuracy, and developing more advanced strategies for attacking and defending. You will also learn how to read your opponent’s movements and react quickly to their attacks. The intermediate class will challenge you to push your limits and become a more skilled and competitive fencer.
advanced
In an advanced fencing class, you will continue to refine your skills and techniques, with a focus on speed, accuracy, and precision. You will learn more complex strategies for attacking and defending, as well as advanced footwork and blade work. The class will challenge you to think creatively and adapt your techniques to different opponents and situations. You will also have the opportunity to participate in more competitive fencing events and tournaments. The advanced class is designed for experienced fencers who are looking to take their skills to the next level.
private lessons
Fencing private lessons provide one-on-one instruction with a fencing coach, allowing you to receive personalized attention and tailored training that suits your individual needs and goals. Private lessons can help you improve your technique, footwork, and strategy at a faster pace than group classes. The coach will work with you to identify areas that need improvement and develop a training plan that helps you achieve your goals. Private lessons are ideal for fencers who want to accelerate their progress or work on specific skills in a focused and supportive environment.
